Cold call script v2 — concrete leveling
One page. Print it and keep it next to the phone. Rebuilt 2026-07-31 for the free-chatbot front end and the guaranteed partnership on the back.
Say all of this out loud before you dial. Ten minutes of reading it aloud beats an hour of extra dials. Two real attempts after an objection, then you book, set a dated callback, or exit clean. Never argue with a no.
The sequence
Permission → Problem → Offer → Observation → Small ask → Book. You are not selling on this call. You are getting permission to text them a free thing.
1 · Opener
Hey {{first_name}} — {{first_name}}, it is Akash St. Pierre.
I know I am catching you out of the blue. Can I take 30 seconds, tell you exactly why I called, and you tell me if it is relevant?
Then stop talking. Do not fill the silence. Calm, a notch above monotone, one clean pause after the ask. The first ten seconds only has to buy the next thirty.
2 · The 30 seconds
I work with concrete leveling contractors.
Most of them do not have a lead problem. They have a calendar that swings between slammed and empty, and they are still renting demand off shared leads.
I do it different. I front the ad spend, I build the whole thing, and I get paid a slice of what actually closes.
Right now in Dallas I am running that for a leveling contractor. 33 homeowner conversations in eight days, about $25 a qualified lead.
I noticed {{personalization line from the call sheet}}. That usually means {{what it costs them}}.
If the call sheet says no hook, skip the last line entirely. A hook that is not true is worse than no hook.
3 · The free-bot ask — this is the whole call
Before we even talk about any of that — can I just send you the free piece?
It is a chatbot that sits on your website and books the homeowner while you are on a jobsite.
Takes me about a minute to build it on your actual site. No charge, no strings, yours whether or not we ever talk again.
Can I text it to you?
A yes here is a win. You are not asking for a meeting, you are asking permission to text. That yes is what makes touch two legal and welcome.
4 · The guarantee close — only if they push for the deal
Fair. Here it is in plain English.
You put down $2,000. I build the system, wire it into your CRM, and run the ads.
If I do not put $20,000 of sold leveling work on your books in 30 days, you get the $2,000 back. All of it.
After that I take 10% of what actually closes from what I built. Nothing closes, I do not get paid.
Would you be completely opposed to 30 minutes Tuesday or Wednesday? I will have your bot built before we talk.
Then: mornings or afternoons, two specific times, send the invite while you are still on the phone, confirm it landed.
5 · The three objections you will actually hear
"We already have leads / we already have someone"
That may be a good sign. Two questions and I will get off the phone.
Do you own the data, and do you know what a booked job actually costs you right now?
If yes, this is just a comparison for the back pocket. I am not asking you to fire anybody.
Most contractors cannot answer the second question. That silence is the sale, not your rebuttal. Then go back to the free bot: "either way, want the free thing?"
"We got burned by an agency"
Then you already know more than most guys I call.
What broke — was it lead quality, follow-up speed, or close rate?
Here is the difference. They got paid whether the phone rang or not. I get paid off what closes. If it does not work, I have spent my own money and made nothing.
Attack the model, never a company. Never name Angi, LevelRight, or any person. Let them tell you which of the three broke — that answer is your whole discovery call later.
"How is it free? What is the catch?"
No catch on the bot. It is free because it is how I show you I am real instead of telling you.
It costs me about a minute to build, and you keep it either way.
I make money later, and only if you make money — a slice of what actually closes from what I build. The exact terms are in the agreement. I am not going to invent numbers on a cold call.
Never over-explain this one. The longer you justify free, the less free it sounds.
6 · Voicemail
{{first_name}}, Akash St. Pierre.
I looked at {{company}} and built you a free chatbot for your site. It books homeowners while you are on a job.
It is yours either way, no charge. My number is {{phone}}.
Again, Akash St. Pierre, {{phone}}.
7 · Hard rules
- No cold first text, ever. Touch one is a call or a voicemail. The text is only the thing they said yes to.
- Call and text 9 AM to 7 PM their local time. Nothing outside that window.
- Every text carries STOP. STOP suppresses instantly and forever, on every channel.
- Reply within 5 minutes to any reply or demo-link click.
- Banned with no exceptions: fake-customer openers, "we were supposed to talk," implied referrals, borrowed logos, invented scarcity, and any claim that the leveling proof is bigger than eight days in one city.
- The one scarcity you get: territory. One contractor per market, and it is checkable before you offer it.
8 · The numbers you are allowed to say
